We have been awarded with the following:
Pub Of The Year – 2022
Louise Lavender, the recipient of the prestigious Pub of the Year 2022 award, was honored with the recognition on Wednesday, 13th April. The award presentation took place in the presence of local MP Dr. Luke Evans and our Chairperson, Darren. The New Plough, a charming double-fronted building that dates back to 1901, exudes a warm and inviting ambiance with its wooden settles and retains the classic charm of a traditional town pub.
Pub Of The Year – 2012
Hinckley and Bosworth Branch were pleased to make the PotY award to the New Plough Hinckley for the second year running. This year voting was much closer with The New Plough winning by just one vote from the Elephant & Castle in Thurlaston (PotY in 2010). In attendance were many regulars and members of CAMRA, also there was Chris Reed, a Business Development Manager for Marstons.
Pub Of The Year – 2011
Hinckley and Bosworth Branch were pleased to make the POTY award to the New Plough Hinckley. For the first time the branch had invested in a large “Pub of the Year” banner which was put up in the bar and later will adorn the front of the pub bringing publicity for the pub and CAMRA.
Pub Of The Month – 2010
The presentation was made by David Finn, H&B CAMRA Chairman, before the February monthly meeting held at the New Plough. There was a record attendance, for a monthly meeting, of 33 members testament to the popularity of the venue.
David praised Louise & Darren for their achievements in just over 12 months.
